Designed by Gary Player and home to the international championship classic, the Nedbank Golf Challenge, this parkland course has provided a stimulating challenge to many golfing legends. Set in lush typical African bushveld with imaginative bunkering protecting the large and undulating putting surfaces, the course has a plethora of charms.
Lost City Golf Course

The rich green fairways give a dramatic contrast to the bushveld backdrop. The barren waste bunkers are a special feature of this intriguing course. The desert style design of the golf course has an exotic allure all of its own and designer, Gary Player has acknowledged it as one of his favorite courses.
Pecanwood Golf Course

Situated on the shores of the Hartbeesport Dam the wide fairways, big greens, a mass of bunkers with plenty of bail out areas make this Nicklaus design parkland course appealing and playable to most levels of golfers, challenging their intelligence rather than their strength.
Royal Johannesburg CC

Royal Johannesburg and Kensington golf club is one of the most prestigious clubs in South Africa and boasts two 18-hole championship courses - the East Course and the West Course. Both have scenic, tree-lined fairways and gently rolling slopes. The better-known East Course has hosted numerous tournaments, including the SA Open on seven occasions. The course was designed by the then club professional Robert Grimsdell in 1935, who pioneered early South African Golf course designs.
Glendower

The Glendower Country club is not only one of the oldest but is also rated as one of the best in the Johannesburg area and belongs in the top 10 rated course in South Africa. This challenging, well-designed golf course is superbly manicured and is situated in aesthetically pleasing natural surroundings. Glendower was declared a natural conservation in 1973 to protect the abundance of bird life and lush vegetation on the course.
Houghton Golf Course

Houghton Golf Club boasts one of the best courses in the Johannesburg area. The course is home to several tournaments, including the Alfred Dunhill Championship - a championship between Southern Africa and Australasia that is the Southern Hemisphere’s answer to the Ryder cup. Houghton has also hosted the South Africa Open eight times. This course has gone through some very innovative changes over the past ten years and has been substantially improved and modernized.
